Work on the Evaluation Management Information System (EMIS) started in 2012 as a project for the Department of Monitoring, Planning and Evaluation (DPME) to develop a web-based system for the process management of their assessment methodology for evaluations.
In a second phase of development, an evaluation management system was added, which was effectively a project management system for national evaluations.
In a third phase, an improvement plan management system was added, which tracked the implementation of improvement plans over time.
Finally, a fourth phase was completed, which included a public repository enabling DPME to easily publish their assessment and evaluation data to the public.
